Since March 2020 the charity ‘BCP Shout Out’ have supported hundreds of people needing a little help. Sister Tama Merdaci (pictured), established the charity on the first day of lockdown in March 2020.
So far they have delivered 32,000 hot homemade lunches supporting refuges, those in sheltered housing, youth services, in temporary accommodation and our street friends.
The charity also established ‘hair cut & slice’ which are a free haircut and slice of cake events for the residents in Bournemouth Churches Housing Association (BCHA) and make sure those in need have delicious hot homemade lunches, deserts, clothes, toiletries and much more.
BCP Shout Out also helps individuals and families move into new homes with collecting and delivering furniture.
It’s right that Tama has received the BCP Chairman’s Community Champions Award, presented to her by the Chairman of BCP Council, Nigel Hedges.
Congratulations Tama, you are such an inspiration to so many. It’s wonderful to see you and your team get the recognition you deserve – working tirelessly for your community.
